Solid Waste & Recycling Services

The mission of the Department of Public Works' Solid Waste Division is to exceed customer expectations by providing environmentally responsible, cost-effective solid waste collection, disposal, and recycling services. Waste Connection of Florida was awarded contracts for residential curbside solid waste collection and disposal and Coastal Waste and Recycling was awarded a contract for residential curbside recycling service.

The city's authorized open-market private hauler program provides solid waste collection services in areas that are neither franchised nor established under the terms of the current agreement.
