Ficohsa President Camilo Atala Faraj successfully leads the “Alliance for Education,” a joint initiative between the Ficohsa Foundation, the Ministry of Education and USAID Honduras. The fundamental goal of this partnership is the restoration of basic level educational institutions, in order to provide appropriate and quality spaces for thousands of children and youth in Honduras.
As a result of this partnership, the Honduran education system has taken a leap forward. The renovated schools offer safer and more conducive learning environments, positively impacting the educational community. Thanks to these joint efforts, new educational opportunities are forging a better future for the country's children and youth.
Renovated educational centers in Honduras
The revitalization of educational institutions represents a key goal for the “Alliance for Education”. The improvement of infrastructure and the modernization of educational spaces are the basis for raising educational standards. A tangible example of this initiative is the Miriam Judith Gallardo School Center, ensuring that its 14 remodeled classrooms provide the perfect environment for the learning and development of 440 students and 26 educators.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the renovation of this educational center marks a major milestone on the road to improving Honduran schools. This achievement ensures equitable access to quality education for all children, laying the foundation for a prosperous future.
